astute (adj) = intelligent, well educated, clever, essentially smart.
You look astute because of your dark hair.
a silver lining (n) = a good thing attached/associated with a generally bad one = the bright side of a problem.
Every cloud has a silver lining
being present (v) = to focus on the present task/people, etc in that moment.
When I spend time with my family, I like to be bresent and focus on them rather than the million other things I have to do.
paper goods store or a stationery store
I found a unique paper goods store while walking down[on] the street.
Gift vs. Present
Gift = a general term for a good thing you received ; it’s just the result
Present = a gift someone gave to you ; implies an agent doing the giving
I think it (=getting to enjoy the weather and the park) was a gift.
Led vs. Let
Led = he encouraged you, he reminded you why you wanted to rejoin Engall, etc.
Let = he gave you permission, made it possible.
led
My favorite professor led me to this subject and now I'm an expert.
My friend led me back to Engall. He reminded me of what I was missing.
let
My professor let me borrow her car.
My friend let me join Engall again after cutting my funds. (prevented you before and now he’s saying it’s ok)
